Perinatal Exclusive Services

Pregnancy and early parenthood are times of profound change — physically, emotionally, and within relationships. Alongside excitement and hope, many people also experience anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, or the resurfacing of past experiences. This is common, understandable, and nothing to be ashamed of. Perinatal counselling offers a safe, supportive space to explore what’s coming up for you, make sense of your experience, and feel more resourced as you move through this life transition.

During this time, it’s common to experience emotional challenges such as:

My Approach

I work from a relational, trauma-informed approach that combines deeper emotional exploration with practical, skills-based support. Alongside addressing current challenges, we make space for the emotional shifts and identity changes that can arise during fertility, pregnancy, and early motherhood.

What to Expect

Pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood can bring a mix of emotions

—some expected, and others that may feel confusing or overwhelming. This can also include experiences of loss or grief along the way. You’re not alone in this, and you don’t have to navigate it on your own.

First session – A space to land - Our first session is a supportive space for you to share what’s been coming up—whether that’s anxiety, low mood, birth experiences, identity changes, feelings of loss, or simply feeling overwhelmed. We’ll gently explore your experience and what you’re needing, at a pace that feels right for you.

Ongoing sessions – Making sense of your experience - Together, we’ll begin to process what you’re going through, helping you understand your emotional world during this time of change. This may include exploring your transition into motherhood, relationship shifts, or experiences of loss and how they may be impacting you.

Support that meets you where you are - Our work may focus on emotional support, practical coping strategies, processing pregnancy or birth experiences, or gently holding space for grief where needed. Sessions are always tailored to you and your unique journey.

Finding your footing - Over time, many women begin to feel more supported, steady, and connected—to themselves and their baby, or to their own healing process. We’ll continue to check in and adjust our work so you feel held and understood throughout.
